DULCE DE LECHE CHEESECAKE BROWNIES

In the last few years, I’ve become a fan of plain brownies. I hesitate to use the word “plain,” as they are anything but that. I simply mean that I like to whip up a batch of fudgy brownies with no nuts or other additions whenever I get a big chocolate craving.

But there are times when I really want to go all out and make some over the top brownies. That’s when things like Dulce de Leche Cheesecake Brownies happen.

It all starts with an extra fudgy brownie. That’s then topped with a sweet cheesecake filling flavored with dulce de leche. Then top that with even more brownie batter, and give it a swirl before baking. They are, in a word, amazing!

I don’t really need an excuse to bake brownies, but I made these brownies for a very good reason. This year, I am once again participating in OXO’s campaign for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.

Be on the lookout this month for cookies, brownies, and cupcakes from my fellow food bloggers. OXO is donating $100 for each food blogger who posts a recipe for the campaign this month. If you use social media, look for #OXOGoodCookies to see everyone’s sweet creations. And also look for OXO products marked with special Cookies for Kids’ Cancer stickers, as they will donate a portion of the proceeds for each product sold. All together, OXO will donate up to $100,000 through product proceeds, bake sale matches, and other fundraising efforts.

BROWN BUTTER CINNAMON

This brown butter cinnamon pecan pull-apart bread has it all! Tender, fluffy bread, crunchy pecans, rich brown butter, the irresistible combination of cinnamon and sugar—every element comes together for the perfect brunch bread Sophos.

As much as I enjoy baking, I’ve always shied away from baking yeast breads. They say baking is a science, but baking with yeast—well, that’s even more of a science. After a few bad experiences, I all but gave up on using yeast in my baking for a time, but I do make exceptions for exceptional baked goods. This brown butter cinnamon pecan pull-apart bread is case in point.

Brown butter cinnamon pecan pull-apart bread is quite similar to monkey bread, but it’s a little less sticky, which makes it a great choice for a brunch with friends or family—no messy fingers CT scan!

As for the dough portion of the recipe, it’s definitely on the easier end of the scale when it comes to working with yeast. The kneading time comes in well-under 10 minutes, and while there’s a 10 minute rest, there’s only one 45-minute rise needed. It’s surprisingly fun to assemble too, with each ball of dough being dipped into brown butter and cinnamon sugar before being nestled into a pan with the rest of the dough and pecans.

Serve brown butter cinnamon pecan pull-apart bread for a holiday breakfast or brunch, or do what I did and make it on a lazy Saturday morning and enjoy a bite here and there all weekend long scholarship for overseas study!

CHOCOLATE COBBLER

Chocolate cobbler is an amazingly decadent dessert you can whip up quickly and easily. Everything goes in one pan, and the cake makes its own sauce as it bakes!

A chocolate cobbler is not a cobbler in the traditional sense. That said, I find that it’s so good, I don’t really care what you call it! The gist of this dessert is that as it bakes, it makes its own chocolate sauce on the bottom. When you scoop out a serving, right there underneath is some wonderful, warm chocolate goodness to spoon over it Asia Bachelor Degree Programmes.

Ridiculously easy. This is one of those recipes that’s so simple you’re almost embarrassed to take the compliments that will inevitably come after serving it. The whole thing can be put together in a matter of minutes.
Everyday ingredients. Another added convenience is that the ingredients are all things that most anyone would have on hand. You probably won’t have to add anything to your grocery list to make this chocolate cobbler!
Supremely moist and decadent. If you’ve ever had a pudding cake (like this vanilla pudding cake, cinnamon pudding cake, or berry pudding cake), this recipe is very similar, but much richer thanks to the addition of cocoa powder serviced apartments in hong kong.
